Kitchen Sink Stoppages & How to Avoid
Did you know that garbage disposals can be the leading cause in most kitchen sink clogs? Garbage disposals develop dull cutting blades like any other cutting instrument and should be inspected from time to time to ensure proper operation.
The Insinkerator is one of the most common brands in the area, but other brands are similar in design. They have large cutting blades located on the turn table and fine cutting blades along the side. The fine cutting blades are shaped like shark teeth and extend down below the turn table. As age and wear begin the bottom edge begins to dull, once this happens it is recommended to replace it. This will help prevent your kitchen sink from being clogged due to poorly chopped/cut food particles. We carry one on the truck and are ready to help to save you time and frustration with clogs.
